How it Works
By now you are probably thinking, "How does all of this work anyway?"

The Sky Shark team consists of two members: one person flies the aircraft while the other one takes the photos.

Here you see the pilot flying the aircraft, in this case Heli-Cam 001. Radio control helicopters are rather difficult to fly so the pilot needs full concentration on the aircraft.

As the pilot lifts off, the camera operator, is watching everything through the receiving station. He is doing so because the transmitter located on the camera mount has a live video feed to the receiving station. The camera operator sees everything the camera sees!
The camera operator uses a radio transmitter, on a different channel than the pilot's, to control the pan, tilt, and shutter of the camera located in the camera mount below the helicopter.

After the shoot is over, we remove the camera from the mount and copy all of the pictures off the memory card onto our laptop computer and burn them onto CD-R for you! If you requested a printout, this is when we would do it!
Viola, we're done!
